Hey guys. I've had a Triumph Thruxton as my main bike for the last couple years. Wanting something a little more capable. Went and looks at a few bikes yesterday, one of which was an 1125CR. I went to this particular dealer looking at a super duke 990 and a new speed triple. I was unaware they had this bike so in was not very well researched on them.

It was a 2009 model year with 1900 miles. Completely stock. Looked and drove great. Was stickered at $6999. Was approved to sell at $6650 (out the door for $7355 with tax, title, and license). Is this overpriced? I know people were getting ridiculous deals on these when they went out of business, but is this in line with what it should be going for?

looks like a good price. I know the one out here is listed at 6600 and they won't budge

I bought my 09 with about 4100 miles on it for 6,000 before taxes and title so I would say that's a fair price with the lower miles

that sounds like a average price back east. a little high for a west coast prices
by any chance did you test ride the "duke" if not you should.
because the only reason why i bought the buell was that it is american made.
and as soon as i get a little more money im going to buy the 1190 instead of a 1125 to run at the track.

good luck

I didn't ride the super duke. They were asking too much for it in my opinion. They wanted $7300 for a bike with 25k miles. I'm interested in the bikes but that sounds high. I also looked at a Duc streetfighter but he wants $11k cash in hand for a test drive and can't finance (at a car dealer).

I loved the way the Buell rode and the motor pulled like crazy, but I'm just still not sure of the styling. I kinda like it but kinda don't. I'm probably gonna go test ride a speed triple. I've been stuck on those for a while. The buell just seems like a lot of bike for the money!

thats a good idea you will find that they are pretty close to the same ride (cr and speed triple), but less on insurance. but the speed triple has a little less style points. you know you might be able to get them to come down that $600 difference between the cr and duke and if so go with the duke.

I got my 09 1125r for $5500 tax tag and title included. 3480 miles :D either way, it was a private seller. Goodmluck!

I call dibs on that CR. I looked at that Duke as well but the miles on that CR made me call the wife. Ill see what they will give me for my R1 in trade.
