Hey guys I am working on my headlight/fairing set up that I metiona way long time ago. Trying to figure out how I am going to do the mounting so I was wondering if anyone had pics of the firebolts fairing/headlight bracket so I can compare it to the mouting points I will need to match it up to. Or if you have any good ideas on mounting solutions feel free to post up.

This was the original idea:

decided to go with an little older cbr fairing from an 03 so I just bought this i think:

I think once I get everything mounted a I will be doing a projector swap so it will be a chopped streetfighter version of this headlight assmbly :

Got the below out of a .pdf '03 Firebolt Parts manual - you're welcome to it if you want to PM me your email or post up here.

Not sure if this will help, your mounting points arent that important unless you plan to modify a stock fairing stay........ Otherwise the stay just mounts to the frame.

Thas kinda my plan I think I am going to buy an extra Lightning left right module as well as a cbr fairing stay then have someone cut down the back of the fairing stay and make a mounting system to the lightning modules. Then I could swap it back and forth after I figure out how to wire the headlight as well as keeping the mounting for the gauges and ignition

You will need to take into consideration clearance issues with the larger fairing if you mount it up like a lightning since it moves with the forks and will most likely hit the tank. IMO you will need to solid mount the CBR fairing like a Firebolt to avoid these issues.

I was wondering about the solid mounting but I am cutting it off the sides as well so I was hopiing not to run into that problem. It should be about 2 inches wider than the headlight housing itself and nothing will be sticking back farther than the housing.

Guess I will know more when I get it

I was hoping to mounting it really low and close like the lazareth and I want it cut down to about this size:
