My fan seems to be pulling a few more than 10 amp, and for that matter 15 amps... Hasn't blown a 30 amp fuse yet. Anyone have any ideas on this? And if i have to replace it, whats the easiest, and knowing buell, the only access to the fan?

You really shouldn't put a bigger fuse in. If it blows the one that is Say 10amps- and you put a bigger one in it, eventually you WILL have a fire OR some serious wiring to do. The Fan is either nearly worn out, I would hope thats what it is,or the wiring is in need of inspection. Check your relays the fan connection plug,The fan thermostat top of rear clyinder etc...Have you done anything or changed something ? Maybe pressure washed the bike? An easy check is.Start the bike. make it easy to watch the fans operation let the bike come up to temp.is it coming on fast or pulsing(trying to move)? Does it blow the fuse while riding only? Access to the fan is from the back of the bike thru., the shock area remove the top of the shock swing to the side, lift the bike SAFTELY so the swingarm suspends down.Have you checked the fan blades for free spin? Find the plug to the fan and test the fan. If you keep putting bigger fuses in eventually the wires will melt together and thats a really expensive job. Check the manuals up TOP of the page Take some time and test whats needed.~Jimi

jimi nailed it as usual. NEVER replace a blown fuse with something of higher amp rating. there's a reason the fuse popped and it's rare that the fuse exceeded it's lifespan. do the checks jimi suggested but perhaps fan is going away.
