Hi I made this rough model up to help push cold air when im in traffic.. Let me know what you think, Ive brain stormed a couple other mods for my buell's... And am always up for new ideas... Id really like to get a hi performance fan

I can feel the cold air flowing into the air box. So I know it works a little. Plus it's gotta push more cool air over the cylinder heads :D

Id be worried about high speed cruising air rushig past it and over spinning it or burning it up. Or even generating eletricity when energized and spun faster than the supply allows.

it'd be nice if you had an on off switch that let it spin freely when not in use.

It could possibly serve your purpose better if it were designed to pull air off the front head. After all, that is what your rear fan is doing.

I like here his head is at, and i think hes on to something, but this is gonna take some rocket science engineering and duct tape to become a beneficial mod.

Biggest issue, if its wired into your factory fan circuit, youre gonna cause issues. The bike uses DC volts to power everything. When your cruising dowb the highway air will spin your fan, very very fast. This will cause the fan to generate AC volts somewhere 1-2v. Thats gonna back charge into your eletrical system and things will go weird or fail. In its own circuit with an on off, no problem just not efficiency.

Ok this has to be a joke. The fan isn't even mounted, just hanging there against the scoop haha. At least I hope it's a joke ....

iv been thinking of something like this for the oil cooler.
A water mister would be more efficient. It would be really difficult to find a small enough fan to push air faster than when you are on the highway.

what it he had it on a switch and only turned it on in stop and to traffic. the idea is great its just gonna take some more beer caulk wd 40 and duct tape to perfect it

++++1 on trying somthing like this with the oil cooler would love to see that

it wouldnt be for highway cooling problems are more of a problem in traffic.

Please view all the articles on electric fan "supercharging". Same concept. Idea is in the right place, actually hurting engineering.

i like this idea.

it would have to be a higher RPM speed fan though to cope with wind presure when riding at 100km...

also if you have a on off switch you would have to have some sort of locking mecanism to stop it from freespinning as these fans usualy get damaged from freespinning.

cool idea and would need testing and perfecting.

a better idea for those who dont have right side air scoops would bee 2 or 3 small high rpm fans mounted on the side of the engin and sucking air away from the motor while riding.
