Bob / 31 yrs old / Massachusetts / Air Force Reserve (prior Army Reserve) / Auto sales ( prior REI, Trader Joe's, Carpentry)

I purchased my baby exactly five years ago this week. It had 985 miles on her and a lot of mods. I was skeptical about the purchase ( the mods run over $4,000! and the low mileage was odd). I asked the salesman about it and found out it was a repo from PA. I had a mechanic look it over who only found one small blemish on the body so I bought her. I have since hit 6,600 miles and am still in love. I always get questions and lookers wondering what the hell is a Buell. It's a great deal of fun to show off the unique characteristics of the bike.
I currently only ride with a buddy who's on a Ducati Hypermotard. The sound of the Buell and Duc (both with modded exhausts) is fantastic.I look forward to meeting all of you, anyone in the New England area hit me up.

Awesome bike. One of my favorite exhaust headers [cool]

Question: What is the filter just behind the header sticking out? It seems to have a nice bracket.

WELCOME! that is a slick bike. 5 years and 6,600 miles?
so when you gonna start riding it?
j/k
Safe journeys to you

I had to guess it was a breather mod myself but I reckon onelogue asked b/c, like me, he'd probably never seen one on the starboard side of the bike. Most folks attach all that stuff near the oil cooler.

How does that reusable oil filter work for ya? Looks better than the throw-aways but I know they're pricey.

Welcome
:)

.....I was going to add......

that particular header system is prone to breaking at the welds and, in actuality, robs power big time (aside from sounding like ****). I'll take it off your hands for $100 :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

That header is got to be the raddest thing I've ever seen! Welcome to the forum you came to the right place. [up]

Thanks for the input and compliments. The header is doing well, and sounds fantastic but I'll let you know if it breaks ;) The rear tire is not stock. It's a Marchesini at 200. I'm going to be replacing it with a 180 in the near future as my tires are over due for replacement. I have more pics in my profile too, so check em out there.

Oh and I don't have any issues or for see any problems with the Scott oil filter.
