Finally got but problems already

So I received my buell 3 days ago and i am completely satisfied in every way i like it so much better than my r1 but the problem i am having is the jardine pipe has already caused 2 different people in my apartment complex to call the cops on me for disturbing them (that pipe sounds so great) because i work 3rd shift and leave late at night and come home early in the morning 10:30 to 6:30. so what i am wondering about is this tip that i have been hearing about that will knock the decibal level down can anyone tell me where i can find this and how well it works

cheaper to have a talk to your neighbours and tell them they'll get used to it after a week.

or maybe just walk the 1st few meters so it's in the open street before starting?

anyway, the quiet insert doesn't help that much. it gets a bit of the basstone out of the sound, so the db-reading is less. it will just sound sharper to the normal ear.
but maybe things improved with the newer model of insert [confused]

I think I got mine at DennisKirk.com. I've never used it, but have it just in case the boys in blue bust my balls over the noise. They are like 35 bucks.

10:30 isnt that late they should just be going to bed i would think and if they arnt up by 6:30am then they need to be woke up in my opinion. I live close to rail road tracks and crossings so all night train go by and blow their horns. in fact the whole town tis circled with tracks and has 2 sets that run up throught the middle. if i can sleep through that they can try to sleep over a pipe.

some people just dont like motorcycles. i have stirred up all kinds of trouble since i moved into my house in the suburbs. i only have the buell race pipe and live five houses down from the main road and about an 1/8th of a mile from a railroad crossing which is very busy. i leave for work at seven every morning and am home by six or seven. no has called the cops but this one prick keeps threatening to use his position in the department of homeland security to cause me trouble. i did some checking with the other people and they say they cant hear me at all so now i rack my pipes on both my bike and truck whenever i drove that guys house!!!

I meet a guy riding home,he was on a xb9s,had the silencer tip on his Jardine,sounded the same to me.If it did bring down any noise level I could't tell.I run the RT1 on my XB9R,they rock! Talk to your neighbors.[smirk]

i did this at midnight on a weeknight in my back yard. you can see how close the houses are together in my neighborhood. my neighbors dont ever say anything to me, they just grab their children out of the street when i come by.
