Firebolt Bars/Levers

So i've read up on handlebars somewhat but they're mostly about Lightning bar replacements. What do Firebolt owners do about theirs?
As far as a set of replacement levers go, what works and what doesn't? my clutch lever wobbles up/down, needs replacement. so i figured might as well get a new set in black...

The levers themselves should be interchangeable between models.

For bars, there are conversion kits and ASB also has firebolt bars that are "raised" about 1 inch - kind of pricey though. http://www.americansportbike.com/shoponline/ccp0-prodshow/A16503.html

Does anybody know if you need to replace the clutch cable with this mod? They say you may but only a 1 inch rise seems minimal.

As long as your bike is in that year range, all the XBs used the same levers so they should fit fine.

As far as handlebars, the link posted is the only mod I've ever seen for firebolt handlebars, short of putting on a lightning top triple and using some renthals or something of that sort. The only other option I can potentially think of, would be to put on a lightning top triple, some clubman bars, and then use some risers to keep the same type of position as your firebolt, but give you the option to lift it up higher. That whole process sounds a little excessive though haha. You could also put on a lighting triple and some crossroads bars. they're not supposed to be as aggressive as real clipons.

Yea, mine is an 06. So there wouldn't be any issues installing any of those off of ebay you're saying? I was just wondering if there's maybe some compatibility issues between Buells and any other levers.

Handlebars on an R..............I have to replace the clutch cable with a Lightning cable, and I need to switch the throttle cables also.

I thought there was also a cheaper set of $50 lever on ebay for the XBs? the only time they changed is when they went from the ZTL brake system to the ZTL2. If you have an 06 those levers should be fine for you.

Gunut, what'd you do with your original firebolt bars? I have a lightning and have a firebolt top triple in the mail, but I need to find a cheap set of the actually steel bars.

I only have the left one. My right one was bent. I didn't even know it until I took the bars off. Left one is straight, right one is like a banana. I cut off my R bar mounts from the triple tree. I'll give ya the left one for the cost of shipping. The right one is toast though. PM me.

And yes maiden, i was looking at a few different ones on ebay. Not sure i'd wanna pay almost 200 for a set of asv or pazzo ones. Figured i try one of those cheaper ones and see how it goes. Thanks for the reassurance.

I was lucky to find it, out of production Helibars. Gonut has an interesting solution though.
