Firebolt/Lightning

I was just wondering what made people choose their Firebolt/Lightning over the other. Styling/Performence/Mods?

I know I chose mine mainly because of styling. Plus I really like bending corners and high speeds so I figured the more aggresive posture+front fairing would help in both those areas. Not to mention the higher pegs(Fido, u peg snapper)....lol I just said snapper

Originally I wanted the firebolt. That changed really fast when i went to the dealership and saw/sat on the Scg. I felt so comfortable on the scg and I loved the fact that my feet could rest flat on the ground when I sat on this bike. I also love the look a little better than the firebolt.

I was looking for a Lightning because i didn't like the looks of the Firebolt from the pics i saw. Then i saw one in person and knew i had to have it.... but i still want a Lightning too..

Whenever I untuck and im going more that 80-85mph it feels like its trying to rip my head off

what can i say, i have a solid head
i have a strong neck due to my 'hobby' so that is ok...not that i do alot of extreme high speeds, but that's cause i feel the wind

I picked the Lightning because I wanted something distinctly not jappy at all whatsoever, Styling or otherwise. Granted the Firebolt looks distinctive to me now I prefer my Lightning. Hmm it's true I'm a peg snapper and thanks to LeFox I have better foot positioning than before. I hit 110MPH on the way to work this morning, I wasn't in a hurry to get to work I just love that rush 110 feels like 220!

Now for an off the wall reason I just came up with.

Lightning is stronger than Fire...
Lightning gives birth to Fire...

I chose my firebolt for the styling,it stands out.Plus,to me,it has a bit of a sportier look,although I to would like to get a lightning sooner or later,love those Buells.

I like the Lightning, The naked bike is were its at, In my experience fairings just get loose and crack and break from the off and on for oil changes and reg matinence. As a body man i have fix allot and painted allot, fiberglass work sucks...

I originally fell in love with the X1 lightning so when the firebolt came out I tough it looked too much like the other half faired jap bikes, then the lightning came back and man did it made my day. It took me 8 year to finally get my Buell and it's a lightning for the styling and riding position.

I either wanted a black and red firebolt or a all black CG. The only one available near me when I was looking was the firebolt, plus I got $2K off MSRP of my XB12R!!
I would love the comfort of the CG though. Damn my short legs

I got the firebolt because I fell in love with the white/blue and I like to ride very aggressive . My future buell is going to be an orange M2 for me and my girls to ride on.

Wanted the Lightning but found a bolt and just jumped on it, prefer the looks of the S but I love my bolt for the the attention it draws also I commute so the fairings work out pretty well also!!
