Well, to start off this year I have done considerable mods to my bike this year, for example, new grip, mirrors, seat, lighting, all have been excellent upgrades regardless of the money I have spent through rizoma and corbin.

The second big thing this year is that after all the years of riding i finally purchased a helmet for more than 150.00 dollars, and i started buying some actual riding gear. Let me tell you well worth what you spend it on.

I went on my first long trip this year which was 120 miles in one direction, pretty good for April in North Dakota. The good part was on the way down in was 60 degrees and beautiful., the bad new was it rained all the way home and was almost 35- 40 degrees

Well this winter I purchased an RF1100 SHOEI helmet, which preformed excellent. I bought Alpine* City Collection Pants which although got super heavy, never got wet, I am so happy I own these now even for 150.00, I have Shift shoes which are more casual than biker shoes, but they also preformed excellent and kept me dry and warm. When I had first purchased an new bike about 6 years ago, I had bought a cheap Icon helmet and an Icon Daytona jacket, the helmet is shit compared to my SHOEI, the jacket is still an excellent midsummer heavy leather jacket with a liner works in most cases here, but in the rain the spots that are perforated kill you.you are wet instantly, then you get cold. As far as my glove, I ride with Icon perforated stealth glove great when its warm, absolute shit in cold and rain, I ended up stopping at local hardware store and picked up some Wells Lemont synthetic gloves for 9.00 dollars, which were good fitting, warm, and handled wetness decent.

What I want to know is what you guys use for a jacket and gloves during wet and cold seasons?

Ditch the shoes and get some riding boots (motorcycle specific).

I wear a Tourmaster Cortech 3/4 in the colder months. It is water resistant but not waterproof. In the cold months, I wear my regular gauntlet gloves with Thinsulate liners. They're not waterproof. I know some manufacturers make waterproof, warm weather gear. You just have to find what fits best.

Also, when I go on weekend trips, etc. I always pack my Tourmaster Elite 2-piece rainsuit. It is excellent at keeping me dry.

It doesn't get too cold here in central Florida, but it rains everyday between 4-7 p.m. from June to October. The rain lasts between 15 minutes to 1 hour. My choice for a rainsuit is a Columbia 2 piece. It suits my needs just fine. Most of the time I only wear the top.
