I just wanted to say hello to the other Firebolt owners on this forum. In my research for purchasing my bike this forum became my main resource. You guys are very positive with each other and collective, unlike some sport bike sites. I purchased an '07 XB12R, foolishly in the middle of a Minnesota winter. So now I have to stare at it for the next two months before I can actually ride it. The Firebolt is replacing my R1, which I'm keeping JUST IN CASE I cannot get into a groove with the XB this spring. Are there any Buell groups around the twin cities on this site?

Welcome to the Forum bro. Can't help you with your question, but I can sympathize with having to stare at the bike. :( Yeah, I also agree with your other sites statement. People actually want to help each other out on here. Later and Ride Safe.

Yeah! Welcome! Im riding an 08 Firebolt and I love it. I changed from a FZR600R and never looked back. You wont see the top end of your 4banger but the Bolt is pure joy to ride. Not too many buell riders period, so there are very few riding groups. Use the rest of your winter to do the easy mods, the license place area can be cleaned uop real easy there are a few posts on here. Also there is an easy do it yourself breather re route(that I still havent done) that sposed to help perfomence ALOT and is mega cheap. Both of those mods have their own threads under DIY Mods section. Again, Welcome!

Nice bike! Welcome to Buellxb.com. Thanks for the nice review of our forum.

Sweet ride man and welcome. Us Buell owners are scarce and rare to find but th few of us out there are proud as hell and support each other. Its kinda like a bike club but without the patches. I think we all should start a Buellers club ...... just an idea.

Not to drive traffic away, because I frequent 4 different forums (including one in england) but the Badweatherbikers forum has geographic clubs with their own sections. I am a member of 3 sections. the 2 close to where I'm stationed even have patches. It's great fun. I'm part of the Hampton road Hooligans and the Carolina Corner Carvers. It's a lot eaiser to actually get in touch with people. This Forum is more helpful for learning info and mechanics, tech and stuff. I find it easier to buy/sell stuff there. their search function is hard for me to use in regards to the Tech stuff. I ride an 07 Firebolt as well. Welcome!

When I was looking for a bike I saw a bunch for sale in Minnesota, but not too many in WI. Good luck with the bike!

do what craig jones does in winter, put screws on ur tires and u can still pop wheelies and stunt :D by the way if there isnt snow on the ground or raining, I am riding, and with proper gear its comfy. and the bike performs like a champ in below 50 :D

Welcome to the forum - I'm a newbie here too, and find this site really helpful & informative. My bike is also an '07 XB12R. Got it a month ago, and can barely keep off it! I was looking around at the usual Japanese suspects, knowing very little about Buell's - but a chance trip out to a HD\Buell dealership here in Vancouver introduced me to the beauty that is the Firebolt! That was it, I was sold, but couldn't afford new. Same day, I found my '07 selling privately, did the deal and now I'm sporting the perma-smile! So cool to be riding a relative rarity.

So....have ya fouled the plugs yet? I got my new 08 on Feb 17. Took me all of 2 days fo f%#k it up!lol Ran on the 17th..died on the 18th. NGK's and all is well. Welcome to the gang. You're gonna love this bike!

This post was dragged up from January... but thanks for the additional welcomes. :D

racepro... fouled the plugs right after I installed my Jardine can!
