Don't worry your Dad has obviously taught you well.So in a way he still won.He just made you work for it.We fathers all want our young ones to have it better than we did. You Will too, some day watch your children and a suttle smile will come over you.In the back of our heads is the Thought (about Damn time) There's nothing quite like it. Sure a little ego brusing is expected but not to worry  theres other experiences around the corner. I cherish the 1st time my pap took me to get my 1st dirt bike.I was only 10 yrs old.
