Finally finished my salvaged 1125R. Still want to put on a fender eliminator but happy with everything else.

Looks great man. Flat colors are killer.

Was the bike salvaged before you bought it? if so what was the damage on something like that?

Yes I bought the bike salvaged. It had a small hole in the swing arm, the dent in the tank you can see above, no right side grip or bar, no master cylinder, broken fairing support, no right pod, damaged right radiator, damaged clutch cover. I think that was about it, and the body scratches.

as far as paint goes, I used Krylon Fusion for plastic. I used satin black (8 coats) and than a matte clear (4 coats)

thanks everyone. I'm stoked with it, seems like a whole new bike now

[up] it looks tough and mean looking , but the exhaust now stands out it needs to be painted black with VHT ceramic header paint to match the rest of the bike...

Suggestion: cover the dent up with some frame pucks. They fit great and it will look like it had never been down. I guess they look matte to as well lol.

I like the frame puck idea, will have to do that when I get some more money.

Black pipe would be cool too, I will look into that. May ceramic coat it

As far as the fender eliminator goes, I have the Jardine and its nice. I drilled 4 holes underneath the tail light to let the light shine down on the plate. Evotech has one but its a little expensive. Diesel Moto has one too.

I like the flat black a lot but the two things that I see that I would change or add is get the frame a flat color and the muffler needs to be a flat also. But other than that looks great!! :)

The bike looks awsome! Great job! My only question is why does every aftermarket exhaust for an 1125 have to stick out like a sore thumb? I'd like to see a racing exhaust design like the XB's had.

u like the flat black ill get pics of my 1125cr with black ceramic coated d & d i bet ull like it
