any word on the hong kong ones, relatively cheap but i think a lot if fabrication might be needed. any thoughts?

Don't. You get what you pay for. I had a different style one on my SV till I could get some decent lights and it didn't last a week. Built in blinkers quit working, one of the light bulbs gave out, and the plastic started to melt. Within a week. If you need something temporary, just rig up some fog lights or something of the sort.

the hong kongs only provide enuff lite during daylite hours!
