Freaking Battery Strap, Data Call

Ok searched here and on google and there are a lot of broken battery straps out there. Took my seat off today to test fit a new airbox cover and there is was broken. I have seen a few people use velcro strap as an alternative. Any pics? and has anyone been using velcro for a long period of time? Thank you all I refuse to by another rubber strap that ends up busting my knuckles everytime I try to put it on. Thanks all.

mine was broken from the factory with 5 miles.18k miles and 3 years later still no problems.

Mine hasnt been strapped for the last 10 thousand either. Never had an issue. Really, where can it go?

I left mine off when i did the tail swap, No problems, Theres not a whole lot of room for it go anywhere.

I've been using Velcro for about a month with no issues. I used the metal clasp from the rubber strap and I cut up an old laptop bag strap for a metal clasp for the other side. It works just fine but then again I don't know how long the rubber strap was broken before I found it that way so I was riding without a strap with no issues.
