are there any dealers/online shops in the United States that sell the free spirits pulley covers for the xb's?? Do they still even make them anymore?

Not in the states, but GB has them here is a link.
UK£122.00 = $194.00, and shipping is $25 if memory serves me right.

I opted for the Rizoma a bit pricey at $330, but I love the look and havent seen another thus far on another Buell.

just installed the rizoma but i have to admit i haven't fallen in love with it yet. i've had a bit of regret at not buying the free spirits one. i was lucky and only paid 250 from pj's parts. but it was an open box item....

I say you get the Black Free Spirits cover and polish the lip like i did. Got the Idea from Keppi.

nitto, i really like what you did with that free spirits cover. I'm not really a big fan of the rizoma one, just my opinion tho. how did you polish it like that?

and overseas is the only place to get them from i see?

I bought mine from a member who bought it and never installed it. I practically stole it for $130 shipped :D. As for the polishing I just used a sanding block and took my time.

Americansportbike.com, They are made by Crossroads and if I remember correctly they run $150 for the set.

badidea: IMO the Rizoma doesn't flow with your bike as it is primarily black and or dark colors which causes the cover to just look wrong.

NittoSS: your bike is very sick indeed, I think tge only thing I would change on your bike is tge steering dampener. Just looks out of place hanging off the front fork like that.

Otherwise two thumbs up!

Really, I like it. I think it gives it a even more mechanical look, it is a naked bike you know.

I agree Nitto. It goes well with the idle tensioner. It's very "steampunk" to me. I've been waiting to see a all steampunk themed buell.

So true but the rest of your bike is very clean cut and unmechanical looking (other than your pulley setup), the rest of you bike is more of just function over the mechanical "Look"

maybe if you drop the front fender, windscreen, Large air scoops, and did some type of custom headlight it would appear more mechanical, IMO it is just a really clean bike. In no way am I saying your bike is bad it just isn't what I would relate to as mechanical. But again clash of opinions, to all their own. I just like a super clean setup, mechanical, custom, but has to maintain the clean over all, all at the same time which is hard to do.

xtremelow,
i agree with your observation. my bike goes off to have the rails and fairing mount powdercoated black in a few days. i also have some black pegs, black brake/shifter, black low profile air scoops (right and left) and black modified belt tensioner. i want to re evaluate once i have more black to see what i think. i love the cherry bomb red tires and airbox but..... there are too many colors on this bike. f'in drives me crazy. oh well, i'll figure it out. may just powdercoat the rizoma black.

Yeah I would coat the cover but I dont think I would go black with it. It would get lost in with everything else and almost look like the stock one, if I had it coated I would say shoot for a silver or try to match the timing cover.

It need to stand out a little, but not be overkill like it is now.

I like how mine is but I have a lot of silver on my bike as it is older, and I have some other billet or silver added to the bike.
