looks good. the gap will get smaller over time as the weight & vibration of the motor wears the rubber out out, should take many years. here is a pic. of mine. you should get an upgrated clutch cable guide. the wire form ones seem to break and when they do the clutch cable melts against your front header. Americansportbike.com has the upgrated clutch cable guides.
Joel9 by looking at your pic it looks like my rubber fell down to the bottom by the bolt that's why I think it might be bad or could it be a different mount?
yea your right DJ04, the rubber is down on yours. i havent seen that before. most i've seen look like mine. i don't think they make a different mount. maybe someone who has replaced one will chime in. [smirk]
Megadeath, put a jack under that thing for GODs sake!
The only thing holding that engine up is the broken edge of the mount against the rocker box and V-bracket... Ouch! I would inspect the rear mount before you ride it anymore just for good measure. It took an awful lot of fource to snap that...
PHEW!! I just had an incident yesterday that has me looking all over my bike for loose items. This was staring me in the face and I thought, "Well crap! I hope my engine doesn't fall off. That'd be a bad day..."
