Front exhaust strap........ HOW DO I REPLACE...?

i have yet again broken this strap. dont understand why they keep breaking, Finally got the part in and harley said i didnt need to drop the exhaust, but i believe its not goin on without doin so...


Can anyone tell me how do i do it...?

I snapped mine as well, had to pop the exhaust off to get the strap threaded back through the mounting bracket.

hmm i got the header bolt loosend, tried to knock it with a rubber mallot. but its not givin enuf space to slide threw, did you loosen the front and back..? that mayB what need to do..

Yep, had to remove all the straps and the connection at the header.

Replace these ASAP! Mine broke, and eventually led to my head bolts snapping off and getting stuck. Luckily it was under warranty and the entire head was replaced by the dealer. Still a PITA.

You might be over tightening the straps. Use a torque wrench.
