Can anyone give me some insight on the Death Wag you can get from landing a high speed wheelie. I have never experienced this but i have seen it. Have any of you? And if so what's the best way-out. Im learning how to do high speed ones but don't want to do the u_tube flip. Thanks.[confused]

I've heard there is no out. It happens and thats that until you crash. But I don't know for sure.

So no 1st hand? I've have gone up to about 50-60 but the other day a friend of a friend crashed in front of me and i wanted to be ready. thanks anyway.

:D

dont come down from the wheelie with the handlebars crooked. Steering stabilizer can help alot.

Ok Trill thanks. But if im going 80-90 and it does happen, what then? I was hoping to find someone who has recovered from it. I do not have a steer-damp on. I just would like to be ready. :D

some people will tell you to let go of the bars and let the bike do its thing, sometimes it will stop..

Some people say to power through it and it will go away.

Hey CityXer, you can try a few things that I have seen work.

You can lean forward and lock your elbows into your stomach/side, basicly makes you a human steering stabilizer.

If you have the room to maneuver push one side out and pull one out, try to lock your arms and lean into it, like you're trying to turn. Keep in mind this is a slight lean, not a knee dragger.

You would have to do this quick as hell but I watched my friend Jason do it once. He was doing a wheelie at about 70mph on his gsxr and set the front down a bit hard his bike started the Death Wag, he dropped a gear and ripped the throttle brought the front back up, then managed to set the front end down nice and even the second time.

Well, assuming you've finished shitting your pants and you have all your other faculties together; adding speed usually does tend to straighten the front out. But that means you have to have hold of the handlebars, and if its a true tank-slapper, that may not be reality.

I say bail and roll. Check for broken stuff, then get up and tell everyone, "I meant to do that!"

Dampner is a MUST for high speed stuff also if you have good throttle control and don't let the front slam down then it should not matter anyway, also if it does happen try praying. LOL

Thanks to all of you. I hope i never have to use the advise. Maybe if i have it in the back of my mind i could save some paint. :D
