1st my apology: I am a metric

I realized that my XB9 uses 11 liter on 90km in city traffic. She is running fine, the plugs look fair... so wft could be wrong?

:D
my XB12 runs between 4.5 to 6.5 lt/100km but but no City driving...

11/90km thats almost impossible! you must have a leak!![sad]

Converting:
11 liters = 2.906 US gallons
90 km = 55.923 miles
55.923/2.906 = 19.244 mpg

i just put gas in my bike this evening. the dealer CLAIMED that they filled it before i picked it up, but i managed 98mi before my fuel light came on and not wanting to replace a 200$ fuel pump, i will not let this tank run dry. i put Shell Nitrogen Enhanced 93 octane into it and we'll see how that runs, but if the dealer did in fact put gas in, i managed a sad 36mpg. i have been doing a little bit of hot rodding here and there, but nothing insane, however, i think my bike is running super rich. the exhaust REEKS and dumps black smoke, the plugs were fouled to ****, and the bike has no backfires, yet it has a K&N intake and D&D exhaust. im guessing the people who traded the bike in did some sort of crappy engine tune before me? hopefully this is a resolvable problem cause im not going to be happy with MPGs in the 30s this summer. i bought the bike to save money and it wont be getting much better mileage than my Audi.

i actually re-mapped it to the race tune, reset the TPS & AFV, and i have NGK DCPR8EIX plugs on the way! the bike runs a lot better, but i think that the stealership lied about the gas anyway because even before i did all the computer work, i filled it up again and averaged 54mpg the second time. My bike needs some good plugs though because it gets a really bad hiccup when cruising at low speeds.

i filled up again today and even with the race tune, K&N filter, and D&D pipes, i still managed 49mpg (with a few 120mph runs on the back country roads too!)

Hooker, you might want DCPR9EIX plugs, those 8's tend to make the bikes run hot and crappy.

ok! well it does get kinda hot here in illinois in the summer. and i might be riding down to my condo in Florida this summer, soooo ill have to check them out
