hi i just got a xb9r it has a bad crank bearing
so i have removed the engine
where the injector wires go to the injectors
they have rubbed a deep grove into the alloy frame
this is on the rh side of the inner part of the frame
it has rubbed through the wires outer case also
i am sure if you remove your air box you will see if yours has
hope it helps mark uk (new guy)

update. pinhole in the high pressure fuel line [bottom of tank]. can this hose be replaced by hardware/automotive store high pressure hose?

thanks

You should be able to pull the numbers off of the fuel line and just cross reference that with what they have at the parts store.

Short answer, yes just make sure it is "fuel" line.

you rock brotha! thanks for the prompt reply. also i pulled the hose off the fittings on both ends, any secrets for slippin hose back on. i,e, small amount of dish detergent?

Any trick you use to slip it back in, will help it slip back out.

The exception being expansion.

Cool the end of the hose you want to put in the fitting, and/or heat the fitting. MILDLY IN BOTH CASES. Heat will expand the fitting slightly, cooling the hose will make it a bit smaller. Once returned to normal temperature the fitting and hose will be at normal size.

This is the reason we run hot water over lids to jars to help us to get them off.

lmao, pass the dunce cap over here. have a heat gun sitting on the bench. DOH!

not a ******* most of the time, new to hose of that material.

thanks again.

Water is one of the few exceptions to heat = expansion rule. As water actually expands when it freezes.
