We amazingly got 2 XR1200 Sportsters in at the shop here yesterday. Kinda surprising considering they are only making 750 of them this year. I was even having doubts we would see even one. A lot of Buell technology in that bike. To the untrained ear, you would mistake it for one. Overall, I love the bike. The breather system is interesting. The rocker boxes are new. Its a comfortable bike too. My have to trade in my bike.... [up]

whats with the breathers? stock re-route???

also... something about this post is crashing my python RSS reader/printer

I'm just bumping this post with some good ol' fashion ASCII :p

Here's that breather system I was talking about. its all hard line and goes direct from the case up to the air cleaner. Cool set up

Looks alright and I'm sure it'd be fun to ride but I'm gona pass on this one!

Buells look so much better!

looks like a sportie with a storz kit on it,minus the much better looking pipes storz had.it's ok,wouldn't mind taking it out for a hard test ride, thats bout it.

BPG I work at a Harley Dealership also and we just received our first XR1200 this week. I think it is an awesome bike. Haven't had the opportunity to ride it yet, but from all of the magazine articles I have read second gear power wheelies are no problem.

I'm not so into the looks, but I am curious about it. It looks like it has forced air on the bottom right side of the tank.

"cool bike but i'd take a buell ftw any day"

What does FTW mean? I've seen it before.

For the sport oriented rider...its an upgrade for a Harley, downgrade from a Buell. I like the styling, but why spend more for less.
