Gas tank removel

Can anyone walk me though removing the gas tank on a 2001 m2 thanks

I don't have an M2 so I can't be too specific, but since no one else here has responded yet, you should just have to remove the seat, unbolt the tank, and pull off the fuel line, and then lift it off. That's just standard instructions for more non-fuel injected bikes. If it's specifically the M2 tank giving you a hard time, hopefully someone else here and give you a little more information.

it might have those rubber dampeners you have to take off up by the front of the tank. like on the blast. if not upthemaiden should be right

I have not had time to get to it yet thanks for all of the help I will let you know how it turns out

If you need more help let me know. All you have to do remove the seat by turning the winged bolt under the seat faring. After that you will see a bolt and clamp at the base of the tank. Remove this while making sure to notice the direction of the clamp. After that pick up the tank alittle and disconnect the fuel line. Next just pick the tank up and slide the hook out at the front of the frame. Then you should be free to do what you needed.
