There should be a video on the best way to remove the battery. Some say through the backside or the front seat. It didn't say in the manual, unless I missed it, (page reference anybody?). It just says refer to the service manual to find out how to remove it. Anyway, I'm gonna go through the front seat and remove a few things in its path to make way for the battery, sounds good?

I know that for my firebolt you pull the seat to get the battery out,if you download the manual for your model from the option at the top of the buell page it will give a clear way to do it.:)

Removing the battery is a PITA, I agree.

Remove the tail section. Remove the seat. Disconnect the terminals. Release the rubber strap. Un-snap the fuse box from it's mount. Slide battery forward and out of its hidey-hole.

I made it a bit easier on myself by switching to a lithium battery that is about 60% of the size of the OEM, but it is still irritating. Especially on a bike infamous for leaving owners stranded with electrical problems...
