Got my ecmspy cable but I'm really not a computer guy, can't install cable.

The instructions are for Windows XP which must be different than Vista because I'm really not able to follow it. I got it on COM4 but I can't get it to see the bike, tried for a few hours, I need someone who knows their **** to walk me through it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best I can remember is to Right-click on the ECMSpy file. Click "Properties". Top opening tab should have "Run in XP mode" under "Compatability mode". (Had Vista before and I believe that's all right)

BuellMods.com has the cable drivers under the "Downloads" section.

The cable came with drivers, I am having trouble getting them installed I guess. Just found maps under that section Stevenc150.

It might not have came with the updated drivers, compare with those on the BuellMods site. (It's under "Tuning" in the Downloads section)

Are you running the program as the Admin? If not, right-click the shortcut icon and choose "Run as Administrator" before starting the program.

I usually just click "auto detect" with the ign on and kill switch on and it connects in a few seconds. If you keep getting "Failed to connect" then its probably a driver issue or your wire is faulty. Make sure your wires are set up the same as in the pictures towards the bottom of this page
