I just picked up my new 2008 XB12R, with 5.5K miles on it. Not really the best time of year to be buying a new bike, seeing how I live in upstate New York, and we are having sub zero temperatures. But it is hard to turn down a good deal on a bike like this, i just dont really like the idea of looking at it for the next 3 months and not riding it. Oh well, small price to pay.

It's a great time to buy a bike if you have the patience to let it sit. I pass mine every day on my way out through the basement so it's tough.

You can always hope for a random nice day and take it out for a spin! I got out for a 55 degree day on new years eve. Great ride but the roads were a mess and I spent at least 5 hours cleaning it. It was worth it but way more mud than I care for.

Any pictures?

Welcome and congrats on the new bike ! Bring it down to Texas and i'll ride it for you till New York warms up ! :D

great time to do all the mods so you'll have no down time during riding season =P

Not really any mods i want to do right away, i bought it with a jardine exhaust and K&N air filter. Just going to put in new battery, plugs and fluids as soon as the weather gets warm enough that i can work without gloves on.

I am located in a small town called Gilbertsville, about 20 mintues outside of Oneonta, so not really that far from Amsterdam.
