I ride a Buell, not a Harley.
Harley get-togethers (or any brand specific, get-togethers really)just don't appeal to me at all. I just can't enjoy myself in a huge "let's all tell each other what a great bike we have" circle jerk.
Sorry.
It's not really just a Harley event, Harley sued them a few times for using their name. Any bikes are welcome. Its alot like this forum good people and good fun the mood there is very mellow. There are lots of other bike besides Harleys and over the years it seems like less Harleys. I just would like to see some more Buells. I figured the Harley name would be a problem I wish they'd go back to calling it just The Rendezous.
Yeah, it might actually be better for them to loose the "Harley" part. "Motorcycle Rendevous" has a much more appealing and openly inviting ring to it for those of us who aren't interested in the Harley lifestyle crap.
Not all harley riders fit the stereotype. Just like not all sport bike riders are 18 year old rich kids that had Daddy buy them the bike to go practice wheelies and splitting traffic.
I do think it would do better to just be called "the rendevous." It is much more inviting to other riders.
