Has anyone made their own belt gaurd?

I hate my plastic guard and fender on my Ss. Looking at making one out of 1/16 or 1/8 aluminum.

Anyone done this or have ideas?? Pics??

You could trim down the OEM hugger/belt guard like I did, it might not be what your after but I do think it looks better then standard.

I made one from some flat alum sheet just bent it and drilled two holes, then i hit it with a combination wheel to give it a brushed look
