I remember seeing some sort of heat absorbing insulation for buells that were like cloths cut to lay under the seat and over the engine. Anybody have any ideas where those can be found? It's getting to be summer here in AZ, and I have a feeling these may come in handy for my butt when I'm waiting in traffic. There were pictures on the exact placement on a Firebolt...

There used to be a guy on here named Odie that made some nice ones for cheap. I listed the email address I have for him below if you want to contact him, though I'm not sure if he is still making them. If he is could you let me know, I need to buy some too!

That looks like a pretty easy DIY mod. I'm going to try it myself. I did read, however, that it may be better to cut around to leave the ecu and battery exposed.
I read a post on BadWeather by Odie saying it didn't matter, though.

Hmm, thought Special ops at $25 was a great deal, but your's turned out well. Nicely done Dave. [cool]

I agree that the special ops version is a great deal. I just had the insulation laying around, so I figured I'd do something with it
