Helmet security

If you're a bit paranoid about leaving your nice helmet on your bike with only the little cable around it, a fellow Bueller named Dave gave me this idea!

If you're like me then you have a bunch of these "California compliant firearm safety device" locks laying around. :stupid: Don't get me started…



Even works for a second helmet:up:



And you can go around the cross bar instead of the little hook

which leads you to my choice, .45 230 gr. Critical Duty positive expansion hollow points work best for me for theft deterrence. :tongue-new:

That's a heck of a CCW! Couldn't you get a IWB holster for a Desert Eagle "point five-oh"?

nope! To my knowledge, no xb's came with hooks

LOL. I am a firearms instructor part time. I don't care for IWB holsters. Doesn't fit my body type. (fat, lol). I am also an old Jarhead. Love my 1911's. Carry a full size gov model all the time. If I am going in the city, I do change up to my P226 or Baby Desert Eagle for mag capacity.

Hahaha… I was kidding about that. I had a Mark 1 .44mag DE for a long time, I can't imagine what it would be like to haul 8lbs of steel in your pants! (Wait, what??)
I love the 1911's, and I think they're purty... but got caught up in all the plastic fantastic ones and the grip angle is a little too straight for me. That's probably why a P320 is on my short list!

I do have a thing for .40cal 185gr. (I CCW a G23). The 9mm guys like to hate it (and the 9mm round is getting better) but I didn't want to have to run a +P round to get the same ballistics.
I did get a .357 sig barrel for it though:love_heart:

thats cool. with the improvement in ammo, there is not actually that much difference in terminal ballistics of the big three (9mm, .40, .45). Best bet is well placed shots.

I still vote for physical size of the bullet if it's going through something before it gets to the thing you are trying to kill. I like the 9mm because you can miss a whole lot and still have some left

Some old buddies came from California to visit, So I took them to a range out here with my G17 and (3) 30rd mags. I unloaded all 90 bullets and turned around to see their gaping jaws. Almost as good as the G18 I shot in Vegas! Good times..
