So its been cold here in florida for the past few weeks but today was nice so I tried to start my bike up. It made some slaping noise like the starter was having a hard time engaging. Got it to start. Went on a short ride and came back thinking all was well. Tried to start it up again and the same thing. Im thinking the battery is low but I never heard something like this. Never had a problem with it before this. Heres the Youtube video.

Agreed, you aren't getting enough current. Its most likely a low battery, there is a chance you have a weak connection from the battery. While you charge your battery (or get a new one if you think it could use it) wire brush all the connections. Including any washers or spacers which can corrode pretty bad some times.
I've run into all three problems before: weak battery, weak connection, and weak connection due to corroded washers.

Also make sure your terminal connections are tight. With these paintshakers we ride, I find my battery terminals loose frequently. I think I'm going to get lockwashers.

Just like keithd my positive connection shakes loose after a few long rides. I either will use lock washers too and or put a thin rubber pad under my battery too reduce vibrations.
