I could use some help installing Throttle Cables onto the Throttle Body on my 2005 XB9SX. I can't seem to get enough play in the cables to attach them to the throttle body even after losing both lock and adjustment screws on the cables near the handlebar/throttle.

Is there a trick? Do I need to disassemble my handlebar/throttle to give the cables enough play?

I even have the 2005 Buell XB9SX Service Workshop Manual but all it says is to re-install the cables, it doesn't say which to install first or how to have enough play to get both cables on the throttle body. Ugh!

Thanks @thrstmech! It was 6 months ago when I took this apart, sometimes I put stuff "back together" to not lose parts so I'm thinking I took it apart properly b/c the cables and not kinked or frayed. While we're on it, is there a special grease you lube the cable with or can ordinary gear or assembly grease be used?
