I have a 2008 12r and i put a innovate wideband on it last spring, i used butt connectors on everything to make sure it was gonna work ok. I live in iowa so this winter i have been working on it a little bit and i soldered all my connections for the wideband, i had the breather reroute done, have hawk exhaust k&n filter and a slight tune done by myself with OSB (i looked at an 07 race map to get started). Now when i went to start it today the battery was dead so i charged it up, connected it and she would not start. It was cranking over good and about every 5th time i tried to start it it would backfire, i finally got it running but it would not stay running and seemed like it was running on one cylinder, i have not had time to check plugs and that is what i am going to start out doing i was just wondering if you guys had any advise for me. Thanks in advance

I don't know about the '08's but my '06 XB9 did the exact same thing and it ended up being a fouled plug.

sounds like you may have a timing issue. did you try to start the bike when you put on the wideband with the butt connectors? if it ran fine i guessing you fried something when you soldered the wires.

OSB is Ohio sportbike and it is a spreadsheet program that reads the eeprom for 08 and newer bikes, and yes it ran very good with the wideband on I ran it all summer... Pretty hard at sometimes, I am gonna try plugs tomorrow,
