I have a 2010 1125cr and have just changed the oil, however when i took out my oil dipstick there was not dipstick, just a screw on cap

so i cant measure the oil as it doesnt have the long plastic bit which enters the crank case???? what to do

Any help is appreciated

Find the piece before it limits the oil suction flow. Depending on it's size it may have followed the hose/lines untill a kink where it probably lies if it's been sucked from the swingarm.

He said crank case. I don't have an 1125 but I'm assuming that's just a fill hole. There should be a small window on the side of the case so you can see how much oil you've put in.

That is correct! The 2010 has a sight window for checking the oil level versus the dipstick on the 08 and 09.

forged, welcome to the forum. Look up the Specs for the bike you have. When it is sitting Level the sight glass will reveal the level of oil in the Engine. It should be at least as close to level as can be. Be Careful not to tip it over in the other direction.!You can find lots of information on this forum Under the Manuals section OR at the top of the Page. When the Bike is fully leaned on the Kickstand it will not show very much in the Sight glass. Ride Safe.*Jimi[up]
