...hey, happened to see this photo of a nicely solo'ed Blast...looking for the owner or mechanic who handled the mods...a few more pix and a little advice would be appreciated, this looks like a good way to size the bike better for my girl, she's pretty small...

LOL - know the bike - it was pretty easy to do, and has been done by a lot of folks - ask, I'll answer on ths mod easily.
- My buddy Scott was like only the second person to do that on a Blast.

I say go for it if that's what you want to do to the bike, but cutting the tail shorter won't actually make the bike any easier to ride for a short person. It'll be easier to swing her leg over it, but once you get past that you're pretty much at the same point. You might do best to try to shave the seat lower, or try to drop the suspension. Make sure she's wearing boots with a decent sole on them too, and not just a pair of thin converse or anything like that.

She's also gonna get a crazy amount of dirty water tossed all up her back every time she comes across a random puddle in the street, haha. That's been an ongoing hassle of mine ever since I cut the cheese grater off of my xb, only it's not quite as bad.

Anyone know where i can get more Pictures of the seat mod? Trying to decide how i would mount the brake light, indicators, and plate.

Easy - cut off sub-frame pipes, cut seat to match, mount your choice of tail light and signals to seat base, and plate directly under tail light - using 4 small L brackets and 2 small straight connecting brackets - found in your Stanley hardware section of any hardware store - lol - fold and re-staple seat cover, cut off excess, clean up wiring and your done - lol - a quality afternoon with some beers and tools -

Not sure if you'll have to be a member to see some of the pictures on this site, but here are some threads for you. If the pictures won't work just let me know and I'll post some in here. Regardless, if you're not a member there you should be because there's some pretty awesome builds to look through, whether you're into fighters or not. Considering you're ready to chop the tail off your bike, I'm gonna assume you are haha [up]
