First off: Bike is a 2005 Lightning 12 with about 7k miles
I laid the bike down a while ago at very low speed, impact was mainly a slide. The slide broke the shift linkage, shift lever, clutch lever and bent the handlebar (I had a firebolt top triple on at the time). a small hole was ground into the primary cover, just below where the shift lever mounted.
After collecting parts for a LONG time, everything is back together now, bike runs fine and has first, second and neutral but will not shift into third.
Could it be a bent shift shaft or even just that shift linkage is not adjusted properly?
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
