I laid my bike down a couple weeks ago and bent the bolt that hold the shift lever. So it was shifting all franked up til I changed that. Got a new bolt, soaked it in blue thread lock and threw a couple washers on there. Well was coming on base today go to click it in to neutral and hangin on by a thread, literally. I was at a spot where I just couldn't pull over plus it was a short slow ride so I cruised back in first.

Pretty sure the hole needs to be drilled and tapped. When the original bolt was pulled out there were some threads on the bolt. But only like half of one thread..

My question is..is there a bearing in the lever itself? Cause if that's somewhere on the road. Soo I'll need a new one of those. Anyone have a similar problem?
