High outside temps and hanging idle.

[confused] Like everyone else across the country ,here in NE weve had gawd awful 100 plus temps for weeks on end. My bike has been running pretty good until its like 102 plus outside . Seems the Idle likes to hang up quite a bit ,have to brake and clutch it down. Any idears on what may be goin on?

had the same during a road test .... silly hot and road test was in 1 st gear for 45 minutes . The bike was floating finally the fuse to fan popped, so I shut down the bike . all said and done i waited till cool weather and fired the bike and took it for a ride with no issues seemed like the ECm was having issues plus I have the Race ECM Bikes a 2004 XB12s . Seems to be inherent of the buells and Hot weather

I have ebr ECM & it does this too. I kinda like it for cornering tho, I don't have to blip the throttle.. [smirk]

Ha go F'in figure I fill up the tank yesterday and come home and put the bike away. I get it out a bit ago seems fine bout half mile from the house ------pure silence ,lol, doh !!!! No more fuel pump.Everything works but no pump, hell its got 18k plus on it, oh well.

Back up and running. New Fuel Pum is almost whisper quiet compared to old one.

How much did the fuel pump run ya and where did you get it?

I got it at advance auto for $80. I ordered it online and had a code on the site that took 20% off.
