Higher Seat

Hello. Just bought a 06 Uly a few weeks ago and love it. Bought it from the dealer and was considered new so I got the 2 year warranty with it. That is good since they had to do a fork seal already. The question I have is, is there a higher seat for the Uly besides the one that came on the 06? I know it is the high seat but I would like a higher one as I am pretty tall and have no issues with being able to flat foot it.

You could do a tail lift, I just made and installed mine and wow what an improvement!I sit a little higher and have a much more agressive riding position. [up]

Would the tail lift give me the extra room between the seat and the foot pegs? That is really what I am going after with the tall seat. I would like my legs to be less cramped while riding. What is a tail lift anyway? I am new to motor cycles so I don't know all the terms. Thanks.

It is a spacer that raises the tail section up a half inch at the rear. It is probably not what you are looking for.

They make some pretty extreme drop pegs for your bike. I would start with something small, and move up to the larger drops. 1" made a big difference to me.

I'll agree that lower footpegs is probably your best bet. Those bikes have tall suspension and you've probably got some ground clearance to spare. You could also look into a custom seat as well. If you're crafty you could buy some vinyl somewhere and some dense foam and add an inch yourself, otherwise I'm sure you can pay someone to do it for you for a reasonable amount.

Thanks for the information guys. I will look into those. I think the foot pegs might be the way to go first. Not sure I want to mess with a custom seat right now.
