hole in belt

Went for a short ride this evening and when I got home I noticed a hole in my belt. Anyone know a good place to get a new belt for an 03 bolt or have the 04 pulleys they may be willing to sell?

you should be able to use the upgraded belt from 04

I dont have the belt guard anymore. Xb12armyguy I still have the 03 pulleys and tensioner so i have to use the 03 belt, unless I can get a good deal on the 04 stuff.

Ok so I finally got around to inspecting the pulleys, and I found the the front one is perfect but the rear has two little nicks in it. My question now is, if I smooth out the nicks will the pulley still be ok to use without ruining the new belt. Oh yea the nicks are on the no pulling side of the teeth.

You could smooth it out and you should be fine but do some shopping around and see if you can find the 04 and up setup for cheap if not you can always order it from a HD dealer. It came out to around 400ish when I priced it last year.

That sucks... IMO you should be able to file those out and be fine. Its only 2, if 10 teeth were like that I'd say other wise but... You will still be way better off with the 04 upgrade

I priced the upgrade through the stealership and it was around $600, ASB has the whole thing for $565. Sadly thats out of my price range at the moment, I will just have to get the 03 belt. After I order the new belt I'm sure someone on here will be selling the 04 set up.
