Hot idle control???

Is their anyway to adjust the idle on my 08 xb12r. The idle is fine when the bike first starts up but after it warms up it has a very rough idle.

It's controlled by the ECM on the '08+. Limited options. What's the RPM's at warm idle?

Is the ECM a Stock one? Which mods have been done? Stevenc150 is correct.Limited options 08+ bikes with the DDFI-3 are controlled by the ECM. TPS reset can be done with a simple key turn method. Which you can find here on the forum as well.

What is your idle rpm? Mine sits about 1050-1100 if this helps. try a tps reset.

'08+ TPS Reset Procedure:

- Turn on the key.

- Set the kill switch to the run position.

- Don’t start the engine. Rotate the throttle from fully closed (gently forced closed) to fully open (gently held open), and then back again to closed (gently forced closed).

- Repeat 3 times. Hold each position (fully open, fully closed) for 1 full second.

- Turn the key off and on.

I've done numerous tps resets and when I got my bike tuned at ebr it ran fine before I took it there. When I got it back after the bike warms up my idle is 1050 then drops to 600 and almost dies then shoots up to 1100 then down to 800 and it's died numerous times. When I called ebr back up he said he must have forgotten to adjust my hot idle control. I have a race ECM in it. So I'm just curious if anyone knows how to adjust it in tunerpro.

I can understand wanting to know how to DIY - but why not take it back to them for now. After all he said he forgot to set it...his mistake. [confused]

I had the Same problem and had to keep tapping the Throttle to keep it from stalling so sent the Race Ecm back to EBR and he also made the changes I requested as well.Runs pretty well at this time.I just wanted a little extra for my Street 08XB12R Bike with out putting the same money I have been in my 09XB12R track days Bike. Works ok for me . I'm sure they will take care of it.
