So while I have the motor out the frame I was going to replace the water pump seal as it has been leaking quite a bit out the weep hole. However, when I looked up the seal for my year (2008) I came up with Q0430.1AM. The rotary seal for the pump I came up with was 26600028.

But neither part looks like nor fits like what came out. The oil seal just falls in place and isn't even the right size shaft diameter. I'm wondering if someone changed the cover out to do the 2010 water pump upgrade. What is something I can identify to show either one? The impeller was black if that matters.

For 2010 they show a Q0430.3AM and a Q0431.3AM

I appreciate the help.

to clarify 2010 uses a oil cooled seal so in the case there should be some sort of oil channels to cool the water pump seal.

The seal on the right in both pics is what came out of the cover. The one on the left is what I was sent. The pic of the housing shows the back side of the roller bushing. There appears to be a small oil passage possibly?

If you pull up twin cycles parts breakdown pull up the 2008,9 water pump diagram and pull up the 2010 in another window and you'll see what im talking about.

That should be a oil orifice in the case picture to keep the seal cooled
