I am a 40 year old motorcycle virgin who just purchased a 2005 Blast. While sitting on the bike and trying to become acclimated to it, I loosened the left mirror such that it won't stay in place.

How do I tighten it? How are the mirrors properly adjusted; I can't imagine you have to take out the tool kit every time the mirrors need adjusting?

Thanks

at mirror side or handle side?

if it's at handle side, there should be a counter nut on it

Haha. I was in the same bought..bought my blast about a month ago. Here's how I "noob'ed" it :)

I loosened one just a tad to adjust it to my preference and took forever to get it to stay tight. If you pull up the rubber covering at the base (My mirrors are not at handle-side), there are 2 nuts.

Basically, I figured out which nut was loose. I took one wrench and held the tight one still, took another wrench and put it on the loose one. Went to tighten them both at the same time. (I think they are counter-threaded, but honestly I don't remember..I was just winging it). Hope this helps.
