I was informed that its recommended that you should replace idler pulley bearings at 15k has anyone done this or is this a normal practice?

it should be the same as my 04 lightning. keep in mind the new bearings will be a slip fit but you have to press the old ones out. you need to get some loctite bearing and sleeve retainer to put on the outer race, it makes assembly on the line faster. you need 2 bearings. i assume you can figure out how to press them apart. the inside spacers are different, one is thicker than the other so dont mix them up when you install.
