Ignition Coil question

I have doing some researching and putting in some good hours on google looking to see if there was any room for improvement with the ignition coil. Is there any aftermarket option for the ignition coil or is the stock piece as good as it gets?

there are some people that have used other units, but they were serious modders that did it for space.

that's correct.

these are single-fire stock ignition systems, tried and proven, and quite good. some may try and dazzle you with super-high voltage and stories of 8% HP increase "on the dyno" with an aftermarket coil but it's all BS. the single best thing you can do for a Buells' ignition system i've found is iridium tipped NGK plugs.....DCPR9EIX
