Yesterday i checked the oil. i warmed the bike up and lifted the rear on a rear stand to keep it upright.. i forgot to lift the front.. so when i checked the oil it was low obviously due to the bike not sitting level. i didnt add much. i rode to a buddy house roughly 15 miles away. and i rode it like i stole it... i just ripped the back roads a new one... half way through i notice that i could really hear the valves slamming.. so when i got to his house i let it sit while i waited for him to get ready.. i was thinking that i may have overfilled it.. sure enough.. the oil level was 1/4 of an inch above the overfill line. we drained it down to full range and went for a ride to the dealership to ask the BUELL guy about it to see if i could have damaged anything.. they didnt think that overfilling it would have hurt anything for such a short ride.. i drained roughly 1/4 of a quart.. I rode roughly another 100 miles that day and the tick slowly got quieter. but it is loud and it wasnt there before.. what do you guys think... i need to pull the motor this winter anyway to do the valves but the weather here is dwindling down and the riding season will be over before i know.. im thinking that i should just not chance it and pull it now and check into it... Also does anyone have a pdf file of the manual.. thanks again guys
