Yet another dude who followed the torque spec and got burnt. Although in my defense the clutch inspection was leaking oil to begin with and the offending screw in question was already loose and when I went to reinstall it there was nearly no resistance (I don't think there were much aluminum threads still in tact).

Anyway... 4.5 hour oil change including trips to Harbor Freight, Ace, and Harley and one helicoil later... oil is changed, both o-rings swapped out, new gaskets installed... no leaks :). Neutral is much easier to kick into now.

For reference I went with 40in-Lbs on all (5) 1/4-20 bolts that retain the primary inspection cover and the clutch inspection cover. From 'feel' this seems very adequate to me. For what it's worth, I'm a mechanical engineer who specs other products made of aluminum and we use Torx quite a bit.
