I tried to embed an image from this site, but for some reason it wouldn't let me save the images.

This is an electric motorcycle designed by a former Apple designer Hartmut Esslinger.

But the cool thing about it is the bike ability to project information onto the ground around the bike, specifically gps info out in front of the bike.

I'm sure some will think that will create distraction, but I actually think this could be hugely beneficial if on long rides to unfamiliar places, just as a gps would offer. Except this gets your eyes out away from the bike.

Cool idea.

Also comes with multiple batteries that can be interchanged for longer distances.

Here's the link: Frog Rana 2

Interesting. Seems to me they could retrofit something to recharge the batteries with the friction from using the brakes. Hard to believe, but this is the future I believe.

Definitley heading in that direction, but nothing will replace the sound of the engine.

No, but they can computer generate a sound similar. Nothing like the real thing though if you ask me.[cool]

Stuff like this really makes me wonder what my son will be driving in 13 years when he turns 16. Technology moves so fast I dont think it will take long for concepts like this to become reallity. And the idea of the phone serving as the brain gives it endless possibilities. Crazy stuff. Gonna be a weird day when you pull up next to something like that on a Buell.

I don't have kids myself, but that's an interesting way to look at it! What will the young kids be driving, riding, wearing, etc!

agreed, you cant replace the vibration in the bars, the heat inbetween your legs, and the sound of the twin coming from a few football fields away[up]
