So last night I got off work and I was messing around in the garage prepping my primary cover for paint and putting in my new adjuster when the guy that mows my lawn shows up. I had the garage door open and I was sitting on a cooler behind my bike with the primary on my lap. He walked over and asked if it was my bike and said it was a nice looking Buell. I was honestly kind of stunned, I didn't have the airbox on it so there was no way of seeing the brand. Nobody ever gets it right unless they're riding one themselves. Well, it turns out the guy was a pro stunter down in Arizona and he just moved back up here to Omaha. He currently doesn't have a bike but he's in the market and seemed to have a genuine fascination with the Bluell.

And so far I haven't met anyone that doesn't like the color.

There are people around that know about them.. There was a guy at a gas station one day.. He looked right at the badge that said xb12s and said "ah 1200, my brother had 9 but his was a 03 with the silver frame." so he knew some info about the bike.. talked for 5 or 10 mins about it.. kinda cool

I was getting out of the gym the other night and a guy who was parked next to me with a brand new Mercedes SUV came up an complemented me on my Ulysses. I was also pleasantly surprised by the fact that he knew what a Buell was.

We chatted for awhile about the Buell and I politely tried to turn the conversation to his Mercedes, but he kept wanting to talk about the bike and how he wanted one. As I rode away on the bike I was marveling about us talking very little about his Mercedes and mostly about my Buell, valued at about 1/10th of his vehicle. I have had several similar conversations in the past. I guess they notice there's something special about a Buell, just like I did when I decided to purchase it.

I had some wierdo that I had zipped past on the highway pull up next to me at the light and was yelling (drunkenly) "yeah, Buell, woooooo!! I knew as soon as I heard it that was a Buell!!" Me: Um, thanks.....

Nowhere near as cordial as your encounters.

On my way back from the Dragon trip I stopped at a gas station and had a homeless looking guy walk up to me. Thought he was gonna ask for some change, but instead he said nice bike. I always wanted a Buell. He also said he wishes they hadn't stopped making them. Surprised the hell out of me. Goes to show Buells are noticed and missed.

UPS driver asked me what year my bolt was when he saw it, I was so shocked he knew what it was, the look on my face made him think he guessed wrong and said " that's a buell...correct". Then I explained yes, and i was just stunned somebody recognized it.

@GAXB9R i had the same thing happen to me on the way back from the dragon. it was at a shell gas station and we had the exact converstion about how he wished they continued to make buells. he then moved on from my bike and went to my mom and complimented her on having her own harley before he asked us to buy him cigarets.
