Is it worth it? A few questions, if you have time. (ecmspy/tunerpro-rt)

Hello everyone!

I've had my bike for a little over 3 years now, a 09 Xb12R. I love this beull-ity! I've currently got the K&N filter, Hawk exhaust, and the reroute mod.

Now I'm playing with the idea of tuning the ECM, or buy. I have the cable, and I've got the ecm type, BUEZD, The questions I have now are:

1: Do I pay to get ECMspy registered ($80* current exchange rate) is it worth it and what do you really get, or can I basically get a mapping and just push/burn it using Tunerpro-rt?

2: Which is of the tuning programs is better and why?

3: Or should I just save the money and eventually get a race ecm from EBR with the correct mappings?

Thanks for the help in advance!

People have had good results with all three options. I personally trust the ebr option the most. If you dont know what you are doing you can cause damage with ECMspy or tunerpro.

Agreed. Although it's definitely possible to get more fine-tuned results by modifying map parameters your self, unless you really know what you're doing, you're patient enough to manipulate only one parameter at a time, and you have an accurate way to test each manipulation afterwards, you're at risk of just wasting a bunch of time to get further from your target.

I applaud the guys who successfully create their own custom maps, but it's not for me...:D
