I am attempting to buy my first buell. I have been raised by a hardcore Harley Davidson rider so I'm trying to stay true to my roots but get what I want. I don't have much money as I am an E3 in the US Navy. I found a 2003 XB9s( city x? ) 4100miles, jardine muffler, has something that allows me to hook the bike up to my computer to pull trouble codes. has the rear fender cut off. its in over all good condition with a few scratches here and there. looks well taken care of for 3100Firm...

Look around some more first. Don't be impatient. Way back when I was an E-3 about 30 years ago, I made about $6 or 7K a year.
I don't even remember was I paid for my 1982 Kawasaki 440LTD back then.

offer 2900 ..it's not a city x they have a transparent airbox...look around...too..good luck i found mine after diggin around..

I wasnt really sure if it was or not. I have looked for about 2 months now and I almost bought a blast but I couldn't do it. I talked him down from 3800 to 3100 over about a weeks time.

It's a good price. I bought mine 03 XB9S with 5400mls year ago for $3800 (advertised price was $4100).

awesome. I just wanted to make sure. I am 5'10'' 195lbs and this thing acted like I wasn't even on the bike. I am sure this question has been asked a 100 times but I couldnt find it. is there a muffler as loud as the jardine or louder that will gain some power

I wish I could find a deal like that I plan on picking the bike up Friday afternoon but 3100 is the least he will take. I tried to talk him down again but it didn't work hah

sounds good to me the only way I got my 04 12s for 2900 is the guy lost his job and let it go for payoff

First thing I am doin is having a muffler tip welded on that splits the exhaust gasses atone the tire instead of directly on it. And I kind of want to paint it just not sure what color if I leave it yellow I was thinking about have the entire exhaust ceramic coated yellow to match ???

right on, I was just curious cause I was reading that the Jardine is about the worst you buy..... has a significant power decrease over stock

Depends, you'll have more HP but a good loss in torque. But with proper mapping you could recover a lot of the lost torque.

Edit: However it's hard to get past them falling apart while riding.

has a little bit of a rough idle but it was pouring down rain so I think that might be the problem

wow he did a chain conversion on it too! this was an awesome buy dude. and honestly I think that most buells are a little rough on the idle. mine jumps and shakes until you get some throttle in it so I'm not surprised about yours.

Beautiful bike!!!

My fam is also Die Hard Harley fans! Thats how the Buell drew me in too.

Great tattoo, but just a heads up... try to hide it from us guys on this forum cause we have turned into anti HD [smirk]
